The Kennesaw Grand Prix Series opened this past weekend with the Swift-Cantrell Classic 5K. The race, which benefits the Swift-Cantrell Park Foundation, has been the series opening event since 2011. During the September 21st Kennesaw City Council meeting, the Swift-Cantrell Park Foundation (SCPF) presented a check for $40,000 to Mayor Mark Mathews for capital improvements to the park.
