Robust communities are built with an engaged public, a supportive city government, and a group of involved citizens willing to donate their time to help their community thrive.

The Swift-Cantrell Park Foundation, with the help of their flagship sponsor, Gas South, donated $40,000 to the City of Kennesaw to help fund construction of the Splash Pad at Swift-Cantrell Park. The donation took place during the ground breaking ceremony for the 3,200-foot Splash Pad. Attendees included Kennesaw Mayor Derek Easterling, City Manager Jeff Drobney and Swift-Cantrell Park Foundation President Lee Johnson.

The Splash Pad is slated to open in June and features motion controlled nozzles, ground geyser, fountain spray, magic mist, jet stream, and multiple sea silhouettes. The majority of the $425,000 project was funded by the 2016 SPLOST. The budget gap was covered by the Swift-Cantrell Park Foundation.
